The most beautiful thing happened last week.  I gave a speech concerning my experience with 9/11 and how I would like to make speeches on my personal experiences once I get older.  “Sometime down the road” as I put it.  I can tell my professor really wants me to improve and it helps to have someone so encouraging and compassionate mentor me in speaking.  She knows that this is very uncomfortable for me but she told me that she knows that I will do better.  It helps for people to have so much faith in me…since I don’t have enough in myself.  I want to speak.  That’s partly what I want to do with my life and I am very proud of my brave accomplishment today.

Emotionally connecting with the audience is key.
